I am a user experience researcher, certified aging-in-place specialist, and caregiver. I'm passionate about promoting the longevity, safety, and wellness of older adults. My passion for gerontology started with my experience working as a caregiver for a 97-year-old woman who lived alone at home. Over the course of 3 years, I learned a lot about the needs, desires, and challenges that older adults face as they age and also saw the importance of empowering them to stay engaged and feel a sense of agency. I now use insights from my experience to share helpful resources with caregivers, help older adults have more engagement in their daily lives, and support organizations in designing products and services that empower older adults.
