Kailene-Kianna Apana

Visiting undergraduate student, UCSF

Kailene is a rising senior at Drexel University but is working as a visiting undergraduate with Dr. Jennifer James and the ESLab for her cooperative education. She is double majoring in Public Health and Global Studies with a minor in Biological Sciences and Spanish. She’s also completing the 4+1 accelerated Master's in Public Health program at Drexel with a concentration in Global Health and a graduate minor in Urban Health. She hopes to relocate home to San Francisco after graduation, and is passionate about learning how the city contributes to continued health inequity, and how race and socioeconomic status intersect with health access.
