Assistant Professor, Department of Behavioral Science, University of Kentucky College of Medicine

Currently, I am assistant professor in the Department of Behavioral Science in the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. One area of my research examines early detection of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD) in older Black men. I study the ways to detect progression and conversion to ADRD in Black men, long before presentation of behavioral symptoms. A second area of my research examines early detection of cancer in older Black men. I study psychosocial factors that predict fatal stage cancer diagnosis and survivorship in older Black men.
