Sean Arayasirikul, PhD

Dr. Sean Arayasirikul is an Associate Professor at the UCI Program in Public Health in the Department of Health, Society, & Behavior. Dr. Arayasirkiul focuses on the intersectionality of sexual and gender health with public health and health policy. Their research analyzes social structures that impact minority, youth and adolescents, and other marginalized communities access to comprehensive healthcare. They hold a doctorate in sociology from University of California, San Francisco and a bachelor of arts degree in Asian American studies from UC Los Angeles. Their doctoral dissertation was titled, “A Three-Paper Examination of Social Inequity and Health and Illness among Transwomen”.
